portfolio

In the beginning of each new semester, I always ask students to prepare a file folder. It is a purposeful collection of student work that exhibits the student’s efforts, progress, and achievements of the curriculum. I also have an electronic file. It includes principle for judging merits, evidence of a student’s self-reflection. In this new era of performance assessment, portfolios can enhance the assessment process by revealing a range of skills and understandings one students' parts; support instructional goals; reflect change and growth over a period of time; encourage student, teacher, and parent reflection; and provide for continuity in education from one year to the next. That will be my goal to be done.

If I were granted＄20,000 I would use it to buy interactive whiteboards and for each student a laptop computer. My school has many poor students they can’t afford to buy a computer. It is increasingly commonplace in schools to use interactive whiteboards. To use IBW learning is very interesting for students. It will be a very happy thing for me if I can help students to learn.

Multimedia

Before teach the new unit in the Mandarin section I will play with the animation into a summary. Using the projector shows the curriculum of DVD-ROM. Sometimes use the Internet to search for additional explanation. When I was teaching math I will use electronic tabula rasa so that students have the opportunity to operate.It can see whether students understand the course content. I am a class tutor teaching every new class for two years.When I take a new class I always help them take pictures.
The photos of the two years were produced discs before the end of the semester. Use a video camera to record students’s theatrical performances. Produced disc as a gift given to them.
Multimedia teaching in my class uses almost every day . Therefore, multi-media teaching for me has been a great help.

Databases and Spreadsheets

In my school we use the administrative system to handle student academic information on a variety of statuses. I execute a program having a stored procedure in the database.I can delete the specified record from a table or view. I can update the specified record in a table or view.My students can use the Internet. I think they seldom use the database.
I use the spreadsheet to do height and weight measurement, visual inspection of records every semester. After eating lunch in school, my students will brush their teeth. They must record it on a spreadsheet by themselves.
Databases are very useful tools. It is helpful for teaching.

The first step to apply science and technology must have the basic operation ability.When I teach I will use the computer and the teaching software.And using the electronic tabula rasa and the projecting camera present the course content.

Digital camera, cell phone,and the computer are universal products now. How to use the music and the multimedia to manufacture the curriculum is what I want to study.

Before teaching the new unit, I will leave a preparing lesson list and have student to preview.
At the end of the course, I will give them an examination to evalutate .

Our school's funds are limited, we only have computer classes twice a weeek. Because student’s abilities vary; therefore, I will let the student use the electronic tabula rasa to learn and motivate them.
